Reaping the fruits of our ECO labour.
Congratulations to our whole school community who have been working so hard in our garden this year.
We have grown all our plants from seed this year and taken slips from other plants to increase our strawberry yield. The weather has also been very kind and our fruits have had a high yield already. Please do look in over the Summer to see our flowers in full bloom.
The flowers we have grown included our wildflower meadow, pansies, lupins, sweet pea and snapdragons. Our vegetables include rocket salad, scallions, parsley, beetroot, peas, garlic, onions, chives, mint, thyme and lemon basil. Our fruit include strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, gooseberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, tomato plants, apples and cherries.
A fantastic array of fresh produce, and we will be able to add our fresh soil into our planters next year that we have been turning all year. Well done everyone, especially Mrs Caldwell for her excellent guidance.
