Shared Education is a funded initiative to enable schools from different sectors to work in partnership to provide opportunities for pupils, staff and community to engage in collaborative and meaningful learning experiences. We are very lucky to have a long partnership of working alongside St Bronagh’s Primary School in Rostrevor through Shared Education and we value the relationship between the two schools. A central element of the programme involves pupils engaging in shared lessons to promote social relationships and enhance educational outcome and we are delighted that funding has been secured this year to facilitate a fuller programme of pupil engagement. Our P2-7 pupils will be facilitated to collaborate effectively with others in different situations and environments and in 2024/25 we plan to utilise outdoor learning opportunities.
