Today P4/5 went to Bagenal's Castle in Newry so that we could see some of the features we have been learning about in real life. We saw the arrow slits, the thick walls, the latrine, the banqueting hall and most of us got to try on some typical costumes from the medieval era. We finished our day by designing our own castle.
It was an informative day and our guide was impressed by just how much we already knew about castles. Well done P4/5!
