How big is 1m2?

There was lots of practical maths going on in the P5/6 classroom today.  P6 were busy measuring and were introduced to 1 m2. Initially they estimated how big this was and then made their own m2 from paper.  We then used this to estimate and find the answer to a number of challenges with some surprising results - for example we discovered our whole class could fit on to the m2 sheet of paper we made.
