This week, we had a wonderful visit from the Fire Service. They had prepared for us, a really informative talk that reminded us all about how to keep safe in our houses and how to be more fire aware in our everyday lives. We learned about the importance of checking our fire alarms every week and keeping candles out of harms way. We talked about having a safe plan in the event of an emergency and how to try our best to prevent a fire from ever occuring in our homes. Mrs McAteer was tasked with trying on a uniform- Thankfully we teachers don't have to try to work in such cumbersome clothes. Thanks again to the Fire Service and our local firemen, Maney and JJ, for such a great lesson on fire safety.
